SIG OPPORTUNITY GRANT
This new award has been proposed after a regular review of the SIG finances showed
that they
have remained consistently healthy for a few years, and is supported
by a committee keen that
SIG members should benefit from this financial stability.
A sum of £200 in total will be therefore be made available each year for use by
one or more
SIGs, to support their ongoing development and
commitment to further learning about
stammering. This might be used to pay for a particular speaker, or perhaps to
support a
nominated member to attend a course, with the information shared at a future
local meeting.
Applicants will
be required to have a significant National membership within their local group,
and write a short piece about the intended use for the award and the merits of
the project.
The closing date for applications will be 31st March 2008, and the
committee will consider
these at their April meeting. Application forms should be returned to the
Information &
Liaison Officer. Postal and email address are on the application form.
