Who are we?

The National Special Interest Group in Disorders of Fluency was established by a group of Speech & Language Therapists who were keen to extend their knowledge of fluency disorders.

The groups aims are:

to provide mutual support, information and contact for colleagues working in the field of dysfluency.
to organise study days and meetings to promote continuing professional development.
to act as a forum to discuss policy developments and issues relating to dysfluency.

We produce a newsletter signal twice a year.

We have approximately 200 members.

Study days are held three times a year at various venues in the UK. These meetings are free for members. See Events Diary for more details.

Membership is open to registered Speech & Language Therapists, SLT students, retired SLTs and other interested parties approved by the committee. See How to Join
